Mixed Media by Liz Nicklus

"Listen" by
Liz Nicklus / "Dulled Senses" by
Carl B. Johnson

LIZ NICKLUS is a mixed media artist who resides in Millville, N.J. She began her artistic career as a traditional oil painter and watercolorist, but later became captivated by the art of mosaics. Her work in mosaics and her painting now go hand-in hand. She pushes the limits of the media she chooses to include in each individual work of art. Her mixed media mosaic murals consist of intricate patterns and symbolic objects unified by complex color relationships. Sometimes abstract, sometimes objective, the work is always deeply personal.

CARL B. JOHNSON has been called a “twisted Hopper” and dubbed “outlaw artist”. He has exhibited extensively throughout the southern New Jersey & Philadelphia region. A representational painter, Carl obscures the lines between Abstract Expressionism and Contemporary Impressionism creating a style that is truly unique. His most recent works involve the artist's observations of disappearing faces and scenes in his community.
