Penny Beck, Joan D'Avanzo, Tina Giamo,
Terri Amig and Jan Harrison have a passion for animals. Penny Beck's animals are whimsical portraits while Terri Amig's animals stare you down and invite you into their world. Joan D'Avanzo "fabric-ates" quilts of "designer mutts" that are up for adoption. She donates the profits from her textile images to spay/neuter stray animal. (Click here for info.) Jan Harrison’s paintings and sculptures involve empathy with the animal spirit and the animal/human interface. In addition to visual art, she performs in Animal Tongues.Tina Giamo brings animal photography to round out the exhibit.
All five artists exhibit nationally and we are honored to have their
furry friends on our walls this month.
