Artist- Alex Alampi & His Students
Also featuring Fine Hand Crafted work
by Salem County Artisans

Alex Alampi and Gallery 50, Inc. proudly present Alex Alampi’s students’ first watercolor exhibit as group. His class of dedicated students include Rita Shade, Ann Neff, Annette Devitt, Darlene McCann, Steve Fries, Chris Byrne and Marie Cobb. They meet monthly at Alampi Art Studio in Pilesgrove Township, NJ. Working from still life setups or their own photographs, his students explore the fine art of transparent watercolor, with emphasis on strong composition and drawing. Alex places emphasis on painterly methods of clean, clear washes, with attention to accurate detail.
Alex’s teaching disciplines are drawn from his 23 years as a professional painter. His influences started locally with artist Fred Reininger and advanced through his many classes at the esteemed Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art with Elizabeth Osborne, Homer Johnson, Al Gury, Lou Sloan, as well as workshops with nationally known watercolor masters Tony Couch, Roberta Clark, Burton Silverman and Tom Lynch. He exhibits widely through our Southern New Jersey.
Also being shown in the main gallery will be a large display of hand crafted works by some of Salem County's finest artisans.
Our window show will be displays by the Third Star Fiber Artists Guild & Dr. Neff's Incredible Puppet Company.
Music provided by Fortescue's own Steve Byrne during the opening reception.
